  ABOUT ARCT:

The Central Carolina Amateur Radio Communications Team is a combination of several different groups, pulled together to form one large organization. We are an ARES organization with certifications in CERT (Citizen Emergency Response Team), Skywarn, NIMS Incident Management, and an ever-growing list of other training.

It is our feeling that taking the best of each one of the organizations that we participate in will help us not only to be a more effective team, but also will allow us to act quickly in an emergency situation with efficiency,  and the ability to do the most good for our community.

We are recognized as an emergency resource by Lee County, and have an increasing opportunity to participate in incidents, drills, and emergency events which involve Lee County Emergency Management.

If you have an interest in joining the Central Carolina Amateur Radio Communications Team, please contact John Raif at (919) 775-1821. Alternatively, you can visit us on the 441.950 repeater and discuss the group there. We hold ARCT nets on Sunday evenings at 9:00pm on the 147.105 repeater located in Broadway, and on Wednesday evenings at 9:00pm on the 441.950 repeater located in Sanford.

Please feel free to download the CC A.R.C.T. application, fill it out, and bring it with you when you come to visit with us on one of our meeting nights. We meet on the first and third Thursdays of each month at the Northview Fire Station on Perkinson Rd. off of Hawkins Ave in Sanford. Check out our Member Information page for more details.
